Terms and Conditions
- A $500 per e-bike credit card pre-authorization / damage hold will be required upon pick-up. Pre-authorization will be removed after rental return. (No charge will be made to credit card)
- Renters must sign a rental agreement and a waiver for liability purposes.
- Rentals not available for those under 19 years old.
- You must obey all applicable laws while riding our e-bikes. This includes needing to wear a helmet at all times while operating a bike, and have lights on if you’re riding after dusk.
- E-Bikes are not permitted on any trail on Saturna Island. Certain non-paved roads are also not permitted. A map with permissible routes will be provided upon bike pick-up.
- The renter must be qualified and possess the required skills and experience to safely operate the bicycle they wish to rent. The renter represents that they possess the necessary qualifications, required skills, and experience to safely operate the rental bicycle.
- The renter must provide a piece of ID at the time of pick up and provide security deposit through credit card authorization only.
- The renter is responsible to return the rented bicycle to Saturna Eco Bikes in the same condition it was provided to them outside of regular wear. In the event of damage to the bicycle the renter is responsible for the full repair cost including any labour.
- If, for any reason, upon the return of the rented bicycle, Saturna Eco Bikes is unable to perform an immediate inspection of the bike, Saturna Eco Bikes will hold the coverage deductible for a maximum of 48 hours or until there is an opportunity to conduct an inspection.
- In the event the rented bicycle is stolen or lost the renter is responsible for the full replacement cost of the bicycle including and or any accessories or equipment that were provided with the rental.
- For rentals less than 24 hours, flat tires are charged a fee of $20. For rentals of 24 hours or longer, there is no extra charge for a flat tire.
- Bookings must be cancelled at least 24 hours prior to the start time to receive a full refund.
- If the bike is brought back after the specified return time, a late fee will apply.
- Each renter will be provided with a certified helmet, bike lock and tire pump. For rentals of 24 hours or longer, renters will also be provided a battery charger and tool kit.
